I have a Browning Traditional Hunter in 30-30. I have only fired it once and did not get top notch accuracy. Are their any tricks to beding the forend, or position of the rifle on the sandbags I am missing. The forend end screws tends loosen up easy. How is the rifle doing for the rest of you who have them?

There is a book called MR. SINGLE SHOT'S GUNSMITHING IDEA BOOK by the late Frank De Haas. In it, he gives ideas to improve the accuracy of the Browning and Ruger single shots. IIRC, you can use basically the same methods on the Browning as on the Ruger. I don't think the book is still in print, but you can probably do a search at Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com and probably find a copy.
