anyone ever load for one of these? how did it shoot? what was your load (grains and powder) and bullet (.222 hornady jet or .223 hornet)?

You might check the quality of your bore if you have one of these.
There was an American Rifleman review of the H&R in .22 Jet in about late 1964 or early 1965.
It was very interesting because I believe the intitial group was about 18". They commented on the pore finish of the bore - it was very rough.
The article went on to say that after a good scrubbing with a bronze brush the groups improved to about 4 or 5 inches.
I am not sure on the exact groups sizes but they were huge. It was an interesting article.
I hope you have a better bore or that it improves with some shooting.
