i finally was able to shoot my 6.5-284 bullberry barrel for my encore. the barrel is a 24" light varmint taper. per Mike Bellm's instructions, i honed the trigger and placed a 3# spring in it. my break-in barrel loads were el cheapo 140gr remington core-loks, 48grs of H4831, norma brass, federal primers. at 100 yds, off the hood of my vehicle, no groups were over 1". .75-.9" was the norm. i loaded 3 rounds with 50grs of powder and the group was .55". now to get a load worked up for bear
