I have an H&R?NEF Handi Rifle in .45-70 that will shoot into 1.25 at 125 yards with mild handloads. Right now it's back in the factory being fitted with a Hornet barrel. Been there since July 7.

I've got a .280 Rem with the 26" barrel and synthetic stock and love it. Best $212 I ever spent. Shoots under 1" most of the time.

I have the NEF/H&R Handi-Rifle in 45-70. Good gun and accurate but in 45-70 it is a handful with stiff loads. I usually take my hat off to keep from having to pick it up off of the ground after each round. I also like being able to exchange barrels like a Contender, if only you didn't have to send it in to get it done.
