..... NEF in 223 for a truck/boat gun.
Was thinking about either the handi but maybe the bull barrel or even the ss synth.
I will be tossing an extra Burris FF II 3x9 on whichever one I decide on.
For the most part it will be a 'yote gun.

Was wondering what the accuracy of one is and if you all think it is a good idea?????

Thanks!!

I have a friend who has one of these in .22 Hornet and with reloads using LilGun the damn ugly bit_h shoots near 1/2 MOA. Go figure. Trigger is abysmal, stock rough, and poorest scope I've ever tried to see through. Must be an awesome rifle in there some where.

I've got a NEF in .22 Hornet that I've had for 'bout 6 years. They are not pretty but mine is a shooter! I have three loads (all using Lil'Gun) that consitently give me .690" - 1" at 100yrds. The best thing about the NEF Hornet is it has the 1:12 twist unlike the other mfg's that use a 1:14 or 1:16 twist. I can load 35gr v-max's up to 55gr bullets with great accuracy. I know you weren't specifically looking for advice on the Hornet but I love to brag about my little $225 gun. cheers

I have the H&R ultra varminter in .223 with the bull barrel. Paid about $220 at Wally world about 5-6 years ago. It is my out of the safe handy dandy varmint rifle and serves well in that regard. I put a cheap Simmons 3x9 on it that came in a trade and the rifle shoots pretty well.

It will shoot about 1.25" per 5 shots at 100 yards with Speer TNTs over 748. I haven't really tried to work up other loads and this is accurate enough for my varmint work-coyotes and such. It is a little heavy for a walk about varminter but is a good value for the money imo. Plateau Hunter
