Pedersoli tang sights?

I am about to purchase a tang sight for my Sharps, but I have heard that the Pedersolis, which are the cheapest and easiest for me to get are not very sturdy nor repeatable.

I looked at a Ukrainian(brand name) mid range soule sight which I was told has is also suitable to use on more than one rifle without repeatablilty problems.

Would I be best off to spend an extra $100 on such a sight or are the Pedersolis ok in their own right?

Express,

Pedersoli has very decent stuff in their sight lineup, but also the crappiest sights you can imagine. You can buy a Pedersoli, but I would suggest you purchase the top-of-the-line one, their Soule sight which should be good and very repeatable. Just don't buy cheap - those things are for visual effect only, and are not repeatable - these get thrown in a package deal (25$ extra gets you a tang sight!), and are absolutely useless. But some importers still keep selling them...
Of course, the Parts Unknown isn't bad either. But you can get a decent Pedersoli too )- just get the right one.

I was looking at getting their Creedmore Soule type middle range, the top of the range sight, second in cost only to the long range version of the same sight.

The cost would be about $190USD.
The Sight I am looking at goes for $235 plus shipping (I need to get some other stuff from this mob anyways)

I think I'll just get the US made sight, for $45 dollars difference it's not worth having to wory about the sight packing up on me.

Joe:

I have the long range Pedersoli Soule sight on my highwall, and while the sight adjestments are repeatable, the sight is a bit sloppy. If I were to do it over, I would spend the extra money for either an MVA or a Baldwin.

THE SIGHT WHICH COMES WITH THE BILLY DIXON RIFLE IS USELESS AS IT HAS MO METHOD OF RETAINING WINDAGE IF THE ELEVATION IS CHANGED.
I MADE A PEEP HOLDER WITH SET SCREWS ON EACH SIDE AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY.
