I have one set from PTG, a SA Rem 700 in stainless, functions and looks fine. I have no other brands to compare

I used a set on a 700 tactical build I did recently and was very pleased with it.

I am using PTG bottom metal on my 7mm-08 build (you can see the thread in the custom rifles forum) and I am really happy with it. They are well made and are reasonably priced. I did a little reshaping on mine for aesthetics. But the quality is good, I would use their bottom metal again.

IMO Williams is nicer than PTG.

Can't speak for Ben, but I agree with him. The Williams has a much nicer looking straddle floorplate and more nicely shaped trigger guard. Of course that is merely subjective.

The Williams also comes with a nicer metal finish, though if you are looking at in the white versions, the difference is immaterial.

Williams does not offer aluminum, so if that is important, PTG is a great option.

Good! Their product was always great...their customer service was too often a rolling train wreck.

Not to say PTG is perfect, but...

Don't know about their bottom metal but everything else they make is first rate. I just received one of their bolts for a short action Remington and it's beautiful.
