Reboring a 300 win to 375

Assuming that there is adequate barrel thickness, is it feasible to rebore a 300 H&H to a 375 H&H? Any idea as to the cost (for example, would it be cheaper to just rebarrel)? and any recommendations on a smith that specializes in this type of work would be appreciated.

Thanks

can be done, but will probably be as cheap and faster to rebarrel

Depending on the person that does the work the rebore will be between $275-350. Unless you really need the old barrel (sights, etc) I would go new. Save the 300 for the future. For a few $$ most of the barrel manufactures will match your contour.

As usual just my $.02

Hi Utah'
There are a few considerations: as you mentioned...muzzle diameter, but also sight hole depth, existing chamber specs, and new reamer dims.
Our charge for that work is $340, if we perform the entire job. $195 if we only rebore and you or your gunsmith do the chamber work.
