had a hard drive crash couple months back and lost everything from November 2002 on, your email might have been about the Owen .257 Mauser supposedly with your barrel that was shown in Dunlap's book, and that I now own. As to the 6.5'06 Hiwall, when I get the digital camera figured out I will post photos, gents this rifle is a serious contender for title of the BEST HiWall custom sporter ever built, Burgess metal, Kennedy wood, has an auto ejector, folding open sight built into the Redfield Jr. scope base which is a Burgess rib. Has been mentioned in a footnote in Campbell's book on HiWalls. No photo though. Circa 1970 as I recall. There are fancier HiWalls, slathered with gold daschunds, etc., but in over 50 years of collecting, going to gun shows, reading auction catalogs, etc., I have yet to see anything to quite equal this for overall distinction. Annoying that it is a wildcat, wish I had the nerve to rebore it, but you can't in good conscience alter something like this. What the French, the h- with them, call a chef d'ouvre.
