Given that the winchester m70 SA has a 3" magazine box which would you chamber, the 260R or the 6.5x55? Is there any advantage of one over the other? ie;does the 260 loaded to 3" have any advantage over the 6.5swede at 3"? I have tried winchester 7x57 factory ammo and its fits into the magazine box.
Loaded to 3" with 140gn and a 25-26" barrel what can one reasonably expect to achieve in FPS from the 260 or swede?

dont allow you wife to keep you under the thumb! It will sort of go like this,if you not careful!!!

in the short action stick to the .260 Remington.....if you want the swede use a long action and block the magazine.

The short action is too short to load the big bullets in the swede.

IMO the swede in a long action is better than the .260 in a SA....but there's very little difference anyway you cut it.
