| Guessing here, but weak spring, worn latch or a timing issue. I'm assuming that it does this with more than one clip. Fulton armory or one of the other Garand specalist shops would be able to help if you can't find a local gunsmith that has experance with the Garand. Someone with more knowlege than I will be along shortly. |

| I wasn't trying to re-direct him to another board, but there are a few knowlegeable Garand guys over at the Gunbroker.com forums Mark Christian and Beachmaster73 being just a couple of them. |
