I am having difficulty removing the blocks that are in place where the scope mounts will be mounted on my Chapuis double and was informed by Dale to soak the screws with any "non acid oil" for a few hours first.
What are some "non acid oils" that can be purchased easily?

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

WD40 comes to mind, but I'd go with my favorite- ATF.
