A friend has an old H&R rifle, with the mauser action, in 7 Rem.Mag. We have not taken the barrel off yet. Does anyone know the thread pitch/diameter of these old actions. Not metric is it ??
Thanks

Rancher: I just saw a H&R rifle yesterday with a Huskavarna swedish action on it. It was a non C-Ring action with a button type bolt release and a side safety. It was a 270 Win with iron sights. No idea what the thread pitch is so can't help you there. Good luck on your project! Swede96.

My H&R from the 1970s has a FN "Mauser" action.
Sorry, don't know the pitch or diameter.
A Guns America auction says "H&R ULTRA BOLT ACTION 30-06, MADE IN THE LATE 1960'S THESE HAVE THE FN COMMERICAL ACTION AND BARREL AND WERE STOCKED BY FAJEN. VERY BEAUTIFUL RIFLE."
