I plan on installing a scope on my incoming BLR take down using Talley QD rings. Do I need to use the Talley bases or do any Weaver style work? Thank you My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

If yu use Talley rings, you need their bases. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Yes Jim is correct if you insist on Talley rings then Talley bases are a must. If you want Weaver style bases then you can go to Warne QD rings or several other QD variants that go with Weaver bases like Burris, Leupold, Weaver etc..

I totally forgot about Warne QD rings. Which are the better, Warnes or Talley? My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I have Talleys on one rifle and Warnes on another. I do agree that Talleys are nice but I don't dis- like the Warnes they are nice and very functional and I have no complaints with either.
