I plan on installing a scope on my incoming BLR take down using Talley QD rings.
Do I need to use the Talley bases or do any Weaver style work?
Thank you

Yes Jim is correct if you insist on Talley rings then Talley bases are a must. If you want Weaver style bases then you can go to Warne QD rings or several other QD variants that go with Weaver bases like Burris, Leupold, Weaver etc..

I totally forgot about Warne QD rings.
Which are the better, Warnes or Talley?

I have Talleys on one rifle and Warnes on another. I do agree that Talleys are nice but I don't dis- like the Warnes they are nice and very functional and I have no complaints with either.
