OK, first off I'm not puting the CZ down or criticizing the CZ at all. It's just that in my continuing education at AR University , I have been unable to find the answer to this question. What is the difference between the CZ550 action and a true Mauser action? A few of the features of the Mauser that I think of as being Mauser characteristics such as the control round feed, third lug, the bevel undercut on the extractor, feed lips/rails integral part of the action as opposed to part of the magazine box like the Winchester Model 70. What Mauser characteristics does the Mauser have that the CZ doesn't? Experts? Allen It's a Mauser thing, you wouldn't understand.

The CZ has almost as many parts in the trigger than a Mauser has in the entire rifle. The CZ is no more a Mauser than a Ruger is. Both good rifles in their own rights, but neither are Mausers. For that matter, a CZ semi-auto pistol is not a Sig-Sauer or a Colt 1911.
