Mini Mauser 3 position safety ?
Anybody making/fitting one? Or a 2 position?

The bolt sleeve/plug on the mini is the same as full size 98. Jim Wisner makes a 2 position for the 98. His might work. Maybe he'll comment.

I have made 2 positions safety for Mauser 98 from 52 yrs ago. The smaller mini mausers have a little extra work in fitting up a 98 military bolt sleeve. There could be 3 positions made by some gunsmiths.
If you want to use a 98 military part you will need to make an insert for the firing pin is different from a standard military part. Cut the threaded section off to the same length as the mini mauser bolt thread. Make the insert with a flange on one end so the main firing pin spring will butt up. It takes a little time with a mill to cut the shape of the safety.

I have a LH Mini here with a Gentry 3 pos on it.
It may be a conversion, haven't taken it apart yet to see.
I did a conversion to one of my own a few years ago.
Bored out the sleeve made a bushing to fit the mini pin and soldered it in.
Then milled about 1/2 the threads off to match the nose of the Mini sleeve. It worked.
I have another mini going thats going to have a 3 pos on it right now, probably going the conversion route on it.
