I have a friends 70's vintage M/S in 270 win,I believe model "M".He has a Leupold M-8 4x scope mounted on the rifle using "Control" rings and bases ....he has asked me to remove the Leupold and install a Kahles scope for him.....the Kahles will not fit because the spread between the rings is greater than the tube lenght of the Kahles....If I try to reverse the bases ,,it looks akward ....so we are trying to find a dealer whom would have the correct bases for this rifle so we can mount the Kahles scope...we can't find any dealers here local in the U.S.(New England) ,so would anyone here know of someone we can contact regarding this issue .....??? any and all help would be appreciated!
