In the browning regulation question you asked; is it shooting off face? I am not familiar with that term. What it is doing is lower barrel is shooting higher and upper barrel is shooting lower with a right to left dispersion of about 3/4 inch. Good news is that the 200 grain velocity is 2550 ft/sec's. Appreciate any guidance.
Even the strongest types of double gun designs tend to open (or try to open) a little bit when subjected to firing stresses. This opening tendency is referred to as "going off-face". It is the DEGREE to which this happens when the gun is fired which determines whether it is problematic as far as accuracy is concerned, or indeed, where safety is concerned, since a gun which goes off-face too far can allow a case to stretch excessively, or even rupture.
I doubt very much that your Browning goes off face to any degree! They are among the strongest of O/U actions that could be used for a double rifle in the '06 head size. I doubt if the backthrust of an '06 is sufficient to loosen up a Browning Superposed action!!
