Getting ready to bed my rifle. It's a bull barrel going into a laminated thumbhole stock with the vents in the forearm. Was curious about bedding the recoil lug. The front action screw goes right into the recoil lug. Haven't been able to find a whole lot of info on what to do with this type of action. Thanks in advance.

The lug is a direct anchoring point and so you treat it like any other anchoring point. You need to provide a solid bed for the lug to seat against.

So if I understand correctly, I tape the front and sides, but not the bottom and back. Correct?
