Plan to bid on Browning hunting ammo being sold in England at auction, total of 240 rounds. Calibre not offered here. How do I import it? I have no FFL. Anyone know a licensed importer who could bring it in? Probably not economic to to make a separate application, might be better to piggyback it onto a bigger order by someone else.

Carriage is going to cost you a fortune IF the bullets are soft pointed!

This is because they are classed as prohibited ammunition and can't be sent by anything other than a carrier approved for prohibited ammunition. Sorry!

What's the calibre? To be honest it'd probably be cheaper to arrange a visit to England and get a British Firearm Certificate.

To allow you to acquire the ammunition and bring it back yourself as "hold luggage" on the flight!

In theory you can get such a permit to allow just that. Arrival in UK purchase of gun and ammunition and then return to your country.

It's just that ON THAT VISIT you couldn't get the gun - too bad - just the ammunition!
