In an earlier posting, I showed the conversion of my Post-64 Winchester Model 70 that Dennis Olson had done. He did a great job but, now I would like to know if you can replace that ugly post-64 cocking piece with something that looks more like a Pre-64. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? Since no one else has answered this, I'll try. I don't know if the threads are the same or not, but the last push feeds winchester made had a very good cocking piece, it has a gas flange on the left side, and the cap was deleted. Looks ok. You could buy it directly from Winchester. May not fit, But at least it's a start.

Thanks for the response, James, I don't know if any Winchester Model 70 parts are still available but, I'll contact USRA and see if they have any. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? The last time I talked to them about 6 months ago, they told me they figured they had about 7 years worth of parts at historic use levels. But, things CAN change.
