Gents,

Does anyone know anything about any limitations/benefits/studies on depth of the aperture hole?

I've noticed some aberrations (sp?) when looking through an aperture when there is a sight base around the bottom half, in front of the aperture. You'd think it would be "out of sight" but the effects are pronounced and bothersome.

Just wondering if a "longer" aperture hole would help, and would expect the diameter would need to be increased...?
