Bought a new Rem 700BDL in 300mag that shoots MOA but had awfull trigger, so I lightned up on the trigger screw as described on previose posts and its a nice 3-4lbs now. On test firing accuracy went to 4" so I tightned rear screw and loosened front and it improved to 2".Should I keep playing with the screw torque or is there a pattern to follow? Help!

There are varying opinions regarding screw torque. I think everyone will agree however, that in order for the gun to work it's best, the action must be sitting level and without bind. Once it is level and unable to move, logic and my experience tells me that the action must be anchored firmly to the stock, and so I torque both front and rear action screws the same, which for the Remington, is 65 inch pounds.
