I just recieved my new gun and noticed that it is not free floated and there seems to be considerable pressure on the fore end. Is this standard? If so has anyone tried these rifles free floated? Is there a reason for the fore end pressure?

Forearm pressure is normal. I wouldnt free float it until you put some rounds through it and see how it shoots.
My Ti shoots great with what few rounds it has had through it and no modifications to the forearm. Received it to late in the year before winter hit to put more rounds through it.

Remington beds all their rifles that way. Shoot first then decide
