As the title says, I need a Type M buttplate. If you know Mausers you know there are two styles. I would PREFER the one with the Mauser Banner on it, but as "they" like to say, Beggers can't be Choosers. The reason I NEED this buttplate as opposed to WANT one is that my rifle has developed a complex about its butt and doesn't want to go out in public. It's previous custodian saw fit to Dress it up with a ventilated, white line spacer included, recoil pad. As this is a 30-06, neither the rifle, nor I feel this was a necessary "upgrade". If any of you have, or know the whereabouts of one of these, please be so kind as to PM me with the details. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I have the plastic ones, Mauser logo, for flat butt rifles. Some of the Ms are curved.

If I understand it correctly, only the S's had plastic or horn plates. The M's had curved steel plates. One was smooth with a trap door and the Mauser logo, the other was serrated with the trap door.

I am also interested in Old school M/S style buttplates for a couple of other rifles.
