Just bought a New Browning .243 A-Bolt Grade 3 with octagonal barrel with rosewood forend and pistolgrip. It is a 2007 shot show special. Very nice looking rifle with some engraving. Browning recommends their integrated scope mount systems (base and ring are one piece) and they do appear nice. Are they? Can anyone recommend better? How about engraved like the rifle? I may be anal here, but it's about the nicest rifle I've ever owned and I'd like to have it look and function with quality in mind. Help!

To tell ya the truth I'd go get a set of Leupy mounts and rings and be done with it. Price and quality are right there!

If you want the nicest-looking rings out there, it's hard to beat Conetrol for all out class. Seamless installation and super nice looks. The "Custum" set would be perfect for you. They're also really strong, though a 243 should be fine with anything. Check 'em out.
