I was going to put this in the Humour section...
BUT,
Thought it would get a better "review" here.

My friend (well he owns a Remington so Im not to sure about that anymore) has a Remington in 7mm-08. He is not to sure what to do with it.

At the risk of starting a "100 things to do with a old Remington", any sugestions? Its a Model 7, synthitic,s/s barrel job.

I may be going way out on a limb, but he could kill animals and eat them.

Though I'm not a big fan of Remington I like the 7-08. It is not just for women anymore! [Big Grin] Your friend may find that it is a great cartridge even without "new supermag" in its name.

Did I miss something??? Is your ex buddy your ex buddy because he has a Remington or because he is shooting a 7-08???
I have three of them. Two stock remingtons and one custom. A model 7 (with the 18" barrel), a classic and a bull durham built on a model 700 action. When I'm not killing stuff with them, I use them to shoot little small groups in paper targets.
Tell him to load it up with some H4895 and a good (not premium) 140gr bullet and he has one helluva deer cartridge. While it would not be my first choice for an elk round, if it was my only rifle, I'd load it up with a Grand Slam in 160 weight and use it with confidence.

There is the animal killing thing, Then there is the little holes in paper thing too. Both things I love to do with my rifles. The one thing I seem to do the most of is carressing and holding them. Stuffing little wads of cloth scraps down their throats. Polishing the metal is a big one too. Then don't forget about just enjoying their company.
