I was looking at a Mini barreled action that was sold to me as new unfired in the box. Looking at barrel etc that is probably correct. That said it is a 7.62x39 and it looks like someone worked the forward top edges of the mag box over with a hammer and or pliers. Bluing is damaged and it is so tight that the follower can't slip through. Anyone else seen this bubba adjustment? Had not planned on having to redo the box. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Three pound hammer and vise grips are two of my favorite tools, but I always belt sand the hell out of it afterwards so I didn't do this one.

Just wondering if this was a factory short cut like the dremel work on the doubles a couple years ago. Maybe I should be asking what the upper lips on a 7.62 look like. Wanting something I can do with little heavy lifting. A 3# is still 2#s under my limit. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Paul, I bought two of them in LH back in the spring, and neither one of them was boogered like that. I think the seller owes you an explanation or a new rifle.

Well I bought this in January 2015. Looked it over and said everything was fine. Put it back in the box and hadn't done anything with it until today. Any issue is on me. In my opinion. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I've got one in the safe but can't get to in at the moment. If you don't hear from me or find a solution a week from now, PM me. I'm leaving for deer camp for a few days but don't mind digging it out and sending you a pic or two.

Thanks for the offer. I "think" it will just be a matter of straightening out the top edge. Have fun at the camp. Heading to Steamboat in a week so I won't do anything with it until December. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
