Didn't someone make a fairly decent floor plate/trigger guard to replace the stamped tin parts supplied by Remington?

Source?

Cost?

Louis, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't 788's universally fitted with detachable mags?

Louis, I've never seen one for a 788. There was one out for 600-660's a while back. The 788 floorplate trigger guard is a pretty simple affair, and you could probably cobble one up easily enough. Just make sure that the hole for the mag is straight and centered. I've never scatch built one, but I've modified the plate and the mags to allow for longer COL, not a tough job. Good luck. - Dan
