Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

I don't know and I don't know if it's ever been tried or even found to be necessary, considering the Winchester Model 1894 design has been knockin' 'em dead for over 100 years and actually goes back a few years before that in previous, less refined designs.

Yep, The savage 99 extractor captures the round as it is pushed from the magazine and holds it until it is kicked out by the standing extractor. Like the mauser design, it will rechamber the fired round if you short stroke it.
