A lot will depend on how your synthetic stock is made. If the butt and grip area are hollow, then they will need to be filled to provide support. Certainly a one-off deal. Here is how it was done with the German 33/40: https://images.search.yahoo.co...1858F80&action=clickhttps://images.search.yahoo.co...280.jpg&action=click |

| I'm not at all familiar with these rifles, but I'd guess there is a stock draw bolt?
If the interest is only for travel..perhaps just have the suitable tool available for assembly/disassembly |

| Thanks for the replies guys, I wonder if anyone could make a suggestion as to how to best approach this, by modifying one of the existing hinges they sell? To have something custom built I would not know where to start, with what to ask for.
One solution that comes to mind that would not be as convenient as a hinge is a sliding dovetail system, but then the stock would completely detach. |

| Can you walk me through why you think you need a folding stock vs the takedown feature of the R93? 93's came with fitted cases to accommodate the broke down rifle. Just trying to wrap my head around it. |

| Bobster, simple.
It only takes two screws, probably 30 seconds to remove the barrel from a Blaser.
However, with the barrel off, it still doesn't fit inside my (largest backpack) with a 18" barrel.
However with a folding stock, it will.
I am familiar with the GRS Ragnarok, it is a great stock and I am close to buying one for this reason, however, I thought I might get away with spending much less if I can find a great way to mod the stock it already has, which I also really like. |

| Well, lets approach this from another angle. How about a different backpack? https://images.search.yahoo.co..._ts.jpg&action=clickhttps://images.search.yahoo.co...oor.jpg&action=clickhttps://images.search.yahoo.co...en1.jpg&action=clickquote: Originally posted by EXPRESS: Bobster, simple.

| So ashamed of having a Blaser you need to hide it from others? |

| I appreciate the inputs, but the backpack needs to be able to hold a whole chamois, and I already have one of those Ebearlestock carrying pack, they do not carry heavy loads well for me, nor do they hold enough cargo.
The rifle needs to fit inside the pack because sometimes we have to traverse areas we cannot hunt in, and that keeps the rangers happy.
The pack I use also hold the rifle in its fully at assembled size, on the outside, very nicely and it is quick to get to. It is an Outdoorsmans optic hunter pack, I can't recommend them highly enough.
And the shame of the Blaser, well yes, I think they are ugly, and I hate the circle of deciples, but they do work, so damn well, that I had to pass over to the dark side. |

| Joking aside, I would think a Blaser K95 would be ideal for that type of hunt. You could use it as an excuse to buy another rifle. Not sure how long the parts would be taken down, but the barrel could be shortened if need be. |

| I understand these Blazers take down very quickly and easily. Wouldn't it be better to just do that? |
