I installed a Timney trigger on a Sako L61 because the Sako trigger, about every 10-20 shots, would let off at about half the normal pull weight. It worked well for one shot then would not cock. I worked on it at the range, but with inadequate light, no magnification (old eyes), etc. I was unsuccessful. I should state now that I ordered it set at 2.5 pounds and did not touch the adjustments. On the bench, with better tools and the Timney instruction page, I concluded that the overtravel was set incorrectly. The Tiney instruction re backlash was very vague. Should I worry about this, or just conclude that it was a factory error in the setting? (There is no locknut on this screw, so I used Loctite.) | ||
