Is the Remington 700 action, with the Magnum bolt face, long enough for the 300 H&H, without any alterations whatsoever?

Thanks, KB

Sure is! I unscrewed a 7mmRemMag barrel from my lefty and screwed on a .375 H&H barrel. Feeds and shoots fine.

pro242 is dead on here.

Remington made their action long enough to feed the long rounds.

I wish Winchester had done that too.

Of course, it was a lot easier for Remington, as all they had to do was cut the pipe a little longer. Wink
