I have a couple old SA 45 LC that don't have much rifleing's left. I have had several different people tell me how to reline the barrels. I have the access to a huge machine shop, and my best friend is the shop foreman. But I would like to know the best way to do this.
And I have only found one place to buy liners and there od is 5/8". Also where can I look for barrel liners?
I will be great full for any and all advice!
Thanks
Ace

Back in the day when I use to reline barrels all the time I used liners from Mike Sayers 859-635-4320. That is the number I have for him but it has been a couple of years since I called. He will sell you a liner at any length. They are hammer forged and of very fine qualty. I have even had some lined guns win some local matches in the past. You can get them from .22 to .50 or maybe even .58 and in a varity of twists. Get the liner a little longer than the barrel and trim after it has been installed. I used pull reamers that had a long tube on them that I ran cutting oil through. my reamers are .001 over the size of the liner. Good luck, Michael
