What is the most common steel and Stainless alloys used for:

triggerguards
floorplates
Quarter ribs
barrel band
sight bases
fp releases
escutcheons

I've read the "bottom metal" post. It mentions 1018, lead alloy (assuming 12L14 or 12L17?)

1018 if rust blued and stainless can be one of several. I like 416 and 303 as I have a lot of it.
