I installed a set of S&K scope mounts and projectionless rings on a SA Montanna 1999. I cannot seem to get this rifle to shoot accuratly. Has anyone else had a similar issue, and could it be the mounts or rings. I have many other rifles with other types of mounts that are quite accurate.

I've had an S&K scout mount on 2 different rifles but no problems like your describing.

The issue is possibly with the bases. I had an issue with a set that I put on a rifle.

Do you have any kind of indicator?

Scratch that, for an easy test, take your scope off and take the barreled action and strip it down (take the stock off and the bolt out). Find a flat surface and turn the action over so that it sits on the bases. Can you rock the bases where one sits higher than the other?

The set I had an issue with, the rear base was quite a bit higher than the front one. Something to check for.
