| Have you tried Richard's Micro-Fit?
I've got some walnut and a 98 too and I plan to use them in a few months. Thier stocks are okay-plenty of wood to take off for the "perfect fit". They'll also leave extra wood on where you want it if you want extra high comb, etc. |

| No sir, have not tried them, but will give them a call. Great American Gunstocks can do it, but the 4 month lead time is a bit much for me. May not have any choice, but will check Richards out and thanks for the input. |

| If it's a "nice peice of walnut", I would highly recommend not sending it to RMF. |

| Donny Gemes at ShowMe Gunstocks is fairly fast...usually less than 2 weeks. His phone number is Googleable.
Good hunting,
Andy

| Thanks for the leads, will check it out. Yes, I have some questions about RMS also. Went to a lot of trouble getting the blank, coming from Australia and would not want to mess it up. |

| Ed Shullin in colorado does a very good job and has a fast turn around usually less than 3 weeks just google his name and the contact info will come up he doesnt do computers contact by mail and phone only but if you call you can actually talk to him and discuss what you want and the turn around time once he receives your blank his price was $75 to shape and inlet and the inleting is tight and not a lot of excess wood on the stock

| I have used Show-Me for shotgun and rifle stocks and never been disappointed. You can reach Donnie Gemmes at 660-438-4568. Great guy, fast work and very reasonable pricing. I like his templates much better than Great American. More beef, if you are making a heavy caliber it is truly best to use his American Classic.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

| Hello, I am expecting the blank, coming from Roger Vardy "downunder" and will check several sources for the shaping/inletting of the wood. Might want to check out Roger's web site for he has a very good selection and many years of experience to boot. Believe his site is www.rogervardywoodstock.com and he has about anything you or your budget could desire. Shame he is not a "yank" for believe he would be a damn good one!! Thanks for all the input, much appreciated. |

I've used Ed Shullin for one blank. He had quick turn around. Matter of fact I was in CO on vacation dropped it off one weekend picked it up on the return one week later. He also installed an Ebony tip. Only issue I had was he only had one pattern for a M98. I have also had Show-me do a blank as well. Again I dropped it off on vacation. Was in their shop and could see the patterns. I think their turn arond was 2-3 weeks. They had several patterns. I did like their Classic.
As usual just my $.02 Paul K
