<xs headspace>Rockwell lathe-good/bad news
Just bought a 10" Rockwell lathe. Good news is I fixed the slop in the cross feed by just tightening a setscrew. BAD NEWS is I tried to clean the crud out of the quickchange gears with a toothbrush and WD40 while it was running. Ripped teeth out of two gears when the brush got sucked in. Is there a source for these gears???

jeffeossopropably can get the gears from mcmaster.com

kcstottYou'll need to figure out what pitch they are and how many teeth are on the gear you wish to replace. Then just order from Mcmaster carr as jeff suggested. Cheeper that way to.
You will most likely have to face the gears down to the thickness you need and bore the hole out.

gzig5I've got the 14" version but the gears are different. Go to the Yahoo Rockwell forum and poke around. The info is in there somewhere. My guess is 16 DP and 20PA.

<xs headspace>Fixed! The one QC gear that was trashed I moved to the last position(I can't thread finer than 112 threads/in. now), and the shifter gear that had 2 teeth knocked out, I put a glob of high stregth nickel braze on it, and hand filed 2 new teeth. This Rockwell runs a lot smoother than my old Atlas--now I can hear the radio even with it running!!! The yahoo group looks interesting, tho. Thanks.
