M70 trigger adjustment?

I purchased my first M70 this week (I'm a lefty) and it came with the standard >8 LB trigger pull. Is there someplace on the net with instructions for adjusting the pull weight? I have done 700 and Savage trigger adjustment and have a fairly good understanding of those. The M70 looks fairly straight forward with the double locknut, spring adjustment arrangement and I'm not going to play with the sear engagement. I just want to reduce the pull down to 4 Lbs or so, so that I can test fire it before it goes to the gunsmith for bedding and a trigger job.

I have tried the "Search" function here but all I get is 70 pages of unrelated posts.

Make sure you use TWO properly fitting wrenches ... it's easy to make a mess with just one or ones that are a bit loose.

Brownell's has the parts if you have any problems ... and a very nice spring that allows rather nice triggers in the 2-4 lb range.

Congratulations of the .375! Great caliber and rifle.

FJold, they are easy to adjust. Turning the screw that the spring is around adjusts your overtravel. Just pay attention to it while you are lightening the nuts holding the spring in tension.........DJ

Thanks guys, I actually adjusted it last night. I got it to read 4.4, 4.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.1 Lbs for the 5 succesive readings and I was surprised that it was that consistent. I stopped because Wifezilla was getting pissed at me for bouncing the stock on the floor. (My reloading/gun room is on the second floor)
