These?... Post some photos when they're done along with some info about groups and better photos of details. Always nice to see photos. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." VD Yep thats them , im pretty sure all three will shoot like a house on fire just going to get the dove tails cut on the bridges next, so me and stuart are just fine tuning what i want as far as design goes with the dovetails Daniel

very nice. I am currently intrigued by the 375 Ruger too. I have never owned a 375 and am conflicted by going with the old classic H&H or the Ruger which will fit in a standard length action. Are your actions all the same? Length size etc or is the 06 smaller? Howard Moses Lake, Washington USA hwhomes@outlook.com

Howard the actions are all the same, stuart tells me the 375/416 feed really well, the box geometry is all spot on so that helps, and the 06 is more of the same i think when the dove tails are cut in the DSB , this will just add a bit extra to those actions im not blueing the actions, but getting them treated with WCC, Daniel

A magazine that is properly sized for the cartridge taper will feed well. A proper stack gives a proper reliable feed. If a box is too narrow at the shoulders of the cartridge the round will pivot at the shoulders and the case heads will float causeing un-reliable pick up and strip off the stack. I machine my box numbers into a piece of free machining material and then I check the stack for evenness and just how the round lay in there I have enough experience at it that I can tell in an instant if it's any good or not. I'm real happy with my Ruger function. It is perfect. Because I make it that way. In my opinion all rifles are dangerous game rifles. You never know when you could be faced with dangerous animal. If you're Packing a 7x57 or a 416 Rigby It got to be reliable. I one of my shop tests, I turn out the lights, load in the dark and cycle the shells thru. Every rifle is set up to single round feed. In case you have to just throw a round in and close the bolt you can. This feature is common among m-70's but not Mausers, Not all mausers will do this they must be fit up for that. I do fit mine to single round feed straight into the chamber it's a must, I think.

M98, I know that these actions have been in the works long before the 375 and 416 ruger were out. What was the original cartridges for this project.

Putting those lovely actions into plastic McMillan stocks is like having a beautiful wife and making her wear overalls. Those things are crying for some nice Walnut! You could keep the McMillans as spares...........................DJ ....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

I'll try once more. Is that the finished look on the bolt handles? Who would want that??? Who cares about what stock when the bolt handles look like that. The only easy day is yesterday!

I prefer wood. this rifle was built on one of my actions. I just made the action. Some other very capable artists did the rest. I think I like it. The bridges have been changed some. It's set up for a Recnagle G9 mount Calibre is 8x86s. [IMG]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c112/dakota11/cid_image003_jpg01CA72C8.jpg[/IMG SS/timan

Probably so that YOU can have your custom maker customize it the exact way that you want it, just as you would do with any other action. I think its a good thing.

Thank you. I should have thought about it a little more. I tend to jump to conclusions. My bad! The only easy day is yesterday!

Nice rifles, and don't worry about putting them in Mickey stocks, I had Stu put mine in on, and it shoots great. One day when I get enough money together, it will get some nice wood, but the Mickey is a good alternative until then.

No blood yet, haven't really seen any deer the last 2 years, either in Michigan or Pa, but it sure does love the 200gr. Horn Interlock. Hopefully next year will be it's year.
