Does anyone have an idea where I might get a firng pin for a 45ACP Star PD? Numrich has them "out of stock".

MasteriflemanYou dry fire it a lot, don't you? I used to have a Star PD and broke two firing pins, one, a factory pin and one I made from tool steel and heat treated. A machinist friend told me to use a 1/4" class 8 bolt and turn one from that and don't heat treat it. I did that and never had another problem. I know this doesn't answer your question but, if you have a or have access to a lathe, it's easy to make one. They are perfectly cylindrical except for the cut made for the retaining pin and that can be done with a Dremel tool and/or a file.

brytstarI do not dry fire but my grandson did! I have a firing pin I received form Numrich that is not the correct diameter. I waited too long before I noticed it was not he correct diameter and the return date had elapsed. I guess i could buff it down but I am not a very good machinist.
