Hi I wonder if the savage 340 is enough strong to be convereted to ,307 win. I know that the new marlin and win 94s are . please give your opinion. danny | ||

While the Sav 340 can be chambered to the 307 the magazine is a bit of a problem. Also keep the loads on the light side. The 340 has a single locking lug and I saw one converted this way which cracked the lug. I would be more incline to chamber for the 30/30 improved if it were me. Regards, Bill. | |||
