I have this 1100 rem. 20ga LT.
it jammed up an I could not get it to cycle manually.
Took it apart, the action bar was real tight.
the bar does not look bent .so I stoned the bottom rails of the action bar and de-burred and cleaned the guide rails inside the action.
It had razor sharp edges.
now the action bar slides nice and smooth.
put it back together and still ok until I put the trigger group in and then the bolt gets really hard to operate..
Any ideas why?
its hard to pull back and when I push the release the bolt does not close until I push the operating handle.
I cant see any thing broke or bent with the trigger group.
Age is difficult Ii has a (R) 0013xx(K)serial#.. (ll) on the barrel
Think it the way it looks that it pretty old

Check your link going into the stock, the link could be bent or plunger all gauled up. The recoil spring in stock could be all rusted up.

Hope this helps

Look at the interceptor, left shell latch and left action bar. See if the latch or interceptor are jamming . Sometimes it's all three.

Edit: That should be the right action bar. When it's cam or the shell latch get worn the latch can slide over it and seize up the action.

Did you remove, clean & lube all the parts under the fore end stock.
It's been a while since I did this to mine. But, afterwards, it shot anything flawlessly no matter what the load was, old, new, high brass 4 shot, 7.5 everything. I believe I lubed it with silicone spray.

Another aspect is to inspect the barrel extension for signs of interference. Look at the top of the extension (12 o'clock) just aft of the cartridge rim recess. If there is a ridge there it needs to be ground down with a Dremel wheel to be level with the remainder of the extension. If there is a bright spot where the blueing has been worn down on the left side it needs to be relieved with a round bit to match the rim recess. These areas represent interference with the extraction process, thus slowing cycling and causing malfunctions. There is a tool available from Brownells known as a Heading Cutter which will clear out interference.

Thanks Bobster big help. The locking bar on the left was sliding forward and causing some of the binding. I pinged it in place and the action works better it is still a little tight It might wear in now that I can cycle the action
