What method do you guys reccomend for breaking in a new .308 barrel?

1) Clean out any residue left by the factory.
2) Load a round
3) Fire the round
4) BS with your buddy for a few minutes (this step is to keep you from overheating the barrel)
5) Repeat step 2-4 until you have shot enough bull for the day.
6) Clean as normal

IOW I don't believe in a break-in ritual, just common sense care.
