Wnen a Mauser extractor is dressed, is it supposed to put no pressure or just a little pressure on the case?

Since nobody else answered.

It beter put side pressure on the brass. A cartridge brass head should snap into the bolt head and extractor, tested with the bolt out of the reciever.

I have one mauser .270 that needs a new extractor because the extractor is to loose on the brass head.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. The extractor should be tight enough that it will hold a loaded round against the bolt face even when tipping bolt horizontal (bolt out of rifle)....still must readily release upon ejection...most military 98's will do this without alteration...was this your concern?

According to Kuhnhausen, the cartridge should push the extractor out .004 when the cartridge is fully into the boltface.

Hope it helps.
