I have a Steyr M-III Professional that I sent out to be re-stocked and BA hard-coated. The screw that secures the safety lever (that the safety rides on) broke during disassembly. I'm told it's the same screw for a Steyr SSG too. Does anyone out there have one. Dynamit-Nobel doesn't have it, the 'service' people that Dynamit uses doesn't have an import license yet so they can't get it. If anyone has a 'spare' it would be greatly appreciated. I have a couple on order and would gladly replace yours when I receive it from them.

Steve,

The information below is from John Schaefer's Steyr Scout website. John stays up on what Steyr-Mannlicher is doing, and he is a great resource -- and a great guy.

2003-02-26 - GREAT NEWS! Diamond Trail Shooters Supply has recently been named by Steyr Mannlicher as the official parts supplier and repair center for Steyr firearms here in the U.S. RWS will remain as just the importer of Steyr firearms. DTSS is actively working on solving the shortage of parts and service for Steyr products. They have applied for import permits (ATF Form 6) and are awaiting those permits, which takes about 8 weeks. They have placed orders with Steyr in Austria and as soon as the permits are issued the parts, including spare magazines and adapters, will be shipped. Once in place, magazines and adapters for all calibers of the Scout and as well as parts and service will be available directly from Diamond Trail Shooters Supply. Please be patient while they ramp up.
