In years gone by Williams and perhaps Marbles offered a two screw base with a 3/8" dovetail cross slot that screwed to a smooth barrel to allow the installation of a standard open sight. There was one model for the fat barrel shroud of the Remington 8/81 and another for thinner barrels. I am looking for the latter, Brownell's, Marbles and Williams don't have it. Would one of you still have one lurking in your possibles box that you could be persuaded to part from? I will use it on a Krag sporter to hold the front lug of an old Miller QD scope mount.
