Just got my Tokarev pistol! Want to take it down and do a through degreasing but I am not totally familiar with the takedown of the gun, will someone who knows "the how" reveal the secret?

BTW will typical solvents destroy the plastic(bakelite?) grip panels?

Thanks in advance

Pyrotek,
You want to go to www.milsurpshooter.net and www.makarov.com

Roger,

I found a link but it's a dead one. Still not confident in disassembling it.

Ok, I would recommend posting in the General Discussion section of milsurpshooter.net and emailing makarov.com asking if anyone knows if there is a manual available. These are the boys who will know.
I just ordered a complete spring package for my CZ-70 from makarov, I did not know it but was told by the owner that most of the parts will directly interchange from CZ-50 to the 70. Pretty amazing. That's the kind of info these collectors have.
If there is a manual or a downloadable info sheet, these guys would know.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
