A friend of mine has a Rem 600 in 458 2".He heard that it was possible to put a Rem or
Anshuts(sp) bolt release on this action. Does anyone know a smith that does this kind of work.
Thanks JD

Install a Seven bolt release & safety pivot pin to the trigger group.
Unless you want to mill the receiver for the Anschutz bolt stop/release option.

Keep'em in the X ring,

The only problem with the Anschutz style of bolt release is it may not allow your bolt to come back far enough to extract a loaded round.

I have done a couple for myself and I will post a photo. I would recommend Pete Pieper in Hempstead, Texas. Pete has done several. http://www.precisionbarrelwork.com/
This is a pic of my or should I say my Grandson's 600.

I recommended Pete as I do not work for other people. I am not a fan of my Grandson's choice of a camo paint and cerrokote, but if my 10yr old Grandson wants camo, he gets it. By the way Cas11 did the paint and coating.
