CZ 527 bottom metal
Does anyone make replacement bottom metal & internal mag assembly for the CZ 527 ?

No, there is a guy that was shortening the magazines so they aren't such an eye sore. I had a link to his web site at one time but can't find it now.

I talked to a guy that's seriously thinking about offering a custom hindged straddle floorplate and 3 position safety, but he said it wouldn't be a drop-in part. I'm sure he'll post on here if he decides to go through with it. If he does, I gotta buy another damn rifle Big Grin

Google RVB Precision Shooting. I think you will find what you want there.

I picked up a 527 in 204 Ruger recently. After taking it out of the wood my bubble popped. On the underside of the action CZ decided to mill the sides of the action so thin there's very little room to open the feed rails up enough to stagger the magazine. I'm not sure if I can get it to feed properly with a too narrow staggered magazine. There still has to be enough lip to hold a shell on left and right side of the rails so they don't pop out when the bolt is racked back. Not sure if I could get it to work like a Glock magazine. Biggest problem there would be getting to accept a round from the action side like a normal magazine. Bolt shroud and cocking are the same part making it difficult to build a three position safety for it. This one is going to keep me up a few nights. I wonder if the only tastefull way out is to build a single feed block to replace the magazine and replace the trigger guard with a ADL style. Custom bolt handle can be made as a "drop in" part with minor fitting.

Calhoon makes one, and altered handles, also.

I took the Mannlicher out in the woods this weekend, any way to get a dog leg or rotary type mag under the 527 receiver? I have one in 223. gonna take some measurements :-)

I'm gonna try real hard to get something that looks similar to my minix floormetal under the 527. It's going to take more work than I first thought. Confused

Thanks for the replies. It seems like there is no simple solution to this one.

James - any chance of seeing a pic of the bottom metal you make for the mini ?

Jeffe, after I saw this one I asked Shane Thompson to build one for me. It won't have that cool trigger like Jim's, but most of the other things will be there.
